Lara Hall and Gracie Francis, Violin and Piano - Diverse Influences in Classical Music
I’m returning to my hometown of Hamilton, and will be performing in the University of Waikato Lunchtime Recital Series with violin professor Lara Hall. Included on the programme are Ravel's jazz and blues-inspired Sonata no. 2, alongside works by popular NZ composer Gareth Farr; the famous 18th Century Guadeloupean violinist Chevalier de Saint-Georges; and Marion Bauer, a woman who was influential in shaping US musical identity.
Oboe and piano recital with David Zhu and Bede Hanley
This concert is an exciting collaboration with oboists Bede Hanley (principal oboe of the Auckland Philharmonia) and rising star David Zhu.
